The University of Kelaniya has officially announced the calling of applications for aptitude tests required for admission to two specialised degree programmes for the 2025/2026 academic year. Candidates who sat for the GCE A/L 2025 examination and meet the eligibility requirements may apply for:
- Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Film and Television Studies
- Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Sports Science
Both programmes require successful completion of the university’s aptitude test in addition to meeting the UGC Z-score requirement.
Film & Television Studies – Aptitude Test Structure
Stage 1: Written Test (Sinhala medium only)
- General knowledge
- Understanding of cinema and television
- Creative writing
Stage 2: Oral Test (shortlisted candidates only)
- Skills, creativity, and interest in film and television will be assessed
Sports Science – Aptitude Test Structure
- Physical Fitness Assessment — standardised fitness tests
- Sports Achievement Evaluation — performance at International, National, Provincial, District, or Zonal level will be considered
