About the Course

The NAITA Fashion Design & Garment Technology Course is a highly popular NVQ Level 4 qualification targeting Sri Lanka’s thriving apparel sector — one of the country’s largest industries and export earners. This practical programme trains candidates in garment construction, fashion illustration, pattern making, and industrial sewing, equipping them for employment in Sri Lanka’s garment factories and design studios, as well as international fashion industry roles.

Entry Requirements

Passed G.C.E. O/L. Applicants must be between 16–35 years of age. Nipun Saviya monthly allowance available for eligible trainees.

Graduates can work as fashion designers, pattern makers, quality controllers, and production supervisors in Sri Lanka’s apparel sector, as well as start their own clothing boutiques. The country’s large garment industry ensures strong local demand for NVQ-qualified graduates.
