About the Programme

The NIBM BA (Hons) in Professional Accounting is one of the most popular accounting degrees in Sri Lanka. This 3-year programme is structured as a progressive pathway — from Advanced Diploma through HND to the final BA (Hons) degree — and is aligned with major professional qualifications including AAT, CA, ACCA, CIMA, and CMA. Students can enter the programme at any year depending on their existing qualifications.

Programme Structure

• Year 1: Advanced Diploma in Financial and Management Accounting – Fee: LKR 250,000–350,000
• Year 2: Higher National Diploma in Professional Accounting – Fee: LKR 600,000
• Year 3: BA (Hons) Professional Accounting – Fee: LKR 850,000

Entry Requirements

Year 1 entry: G.C.E. A/L passes or part-qualifications in AAT, CA, ACCA, CIMA, or CMA (with course director approval). Year 2 and Year 3 entry available for holders of NIBM Advanced Diploma or HND respectively.
